Our Story
The Proposal - Sam surprised me by taking me down to the Hassyampa River. I was under the imprssion we were going to pick up some sand. While we were out there walking around he started swooning me with his mushy romantic ways and suddenly I was attacked by ants. With concern and awkwardness, Sam sat me down on the tailgate to wash my legs off with some water. Meanwhile, in the background someone was target practicing with their rifle. As he continued to wash off my legs he knealt down on one knee, looked me in the eyes and I realized his silly mooshy ways were actually a serious attempt to have a "moment"! He proceeded to tell me all the things he loved about me along with all those things a woman in love wants to hear from her lover. He opened the box and there it was, a symbol of his desire to spend the rest of his life with me! I started balling like a baby (and not just because my legs were throbbing, or because of the loud, startling rifle in the background) but because I loved him and he was so sweet and nervous. I immediately called my dad and in between sniffles he essentially gave us his blessing. As we left the River we made a pit stop to talk to the man who was firing off his rifle. Sam proceeded ot thank the man for creating the ambiance. Those who know Sam and I realize that guns going off in the background is the perfect mood music. The rest of the day was spent visiting and calling those who were the closest to us and finished the day with long term cuddle.
Our Wedding
Our wedding will consist of a beautiful ceremony on a deck overlooking the wonderful forests of Flagstaff. Following, will be our reception in the Hart Prairie Lodge located at Snowbowl where we hope to share the festivities with our family and friends.
